After a frantically busy week at SOLEX 2017 at the NEC in Birmingham, we now have time to reflect upon the highlights of this years event.
We had a lot of fun setting up our stand, meeting new faces, companies and current clients.
I would like to start this article by expressing our gratitude to all those that came to see us and a great big thank you to all those who placed an order.
Our stand number 610 has been home to our brand for many years, as has the design of the stand its self. We intend to design a brand new contemporary stand for next year that will showcase our products in a brand new light!
New products
EMPORIO PATIO HEATERS
Unveiled at the show were a pair of Emporio Patio heaters one in black, and the other in stainless steel. These powerful 15kW heaters have a quality and sturdy build with a strong quartz glass tube, making them ideal for commercial use.
Having received a number of orders and inquiries, it is reasonable to say these were a resounding success! Intended for our 2018 range, this has now been brought forward due to popular demand. Contact us for more information about this product or to place an order.
RATTAN PATIO HEATER
Making a second appearance from last year is our rattan patio heater! Rattan is one of the most popular choices of furniture material and has been for some time! It only makes sense to bring in a patio heater to suit! This patio heater can be made available in other colour options depending on the quantity ordered, and we are currently looking at stocking this in grey, as it has proven to be much more desirable!
NAPOLI WOOD OVEN
The Napoli is the first wood burner in our outdoor oven range. It was very well received at the show due to its affordable pricing and versatility. It has a glass viewing window with temp, charcoal drawer, ash catcher and wheels for ease of mobility.
TOP PERFORMERS
This year, the majority of our top performers have all been patio heaters! lots of interest and orders in the new Emporio heaters, many requests for grey Rattan heaters our two table top heaters (Chantico & Sirocco) and as always our Santorini, Tahiti range, edelwiess and orchid have done us proudly!
Worthy Mentions
During the trade show, SOLEX looked at a variety of products on each stand to hand out awards. This year the best stand award went to Kettler for their impressive Everdure range endorsed by Heston Blutmenthal and Tepro picked up the award for best new product.

Premier Decorations
We really loved the Premier decorations limited stand, their retro wall especially caught my eye with its american style vintage signs. Telephones, fire hydrants and planes to create a well traveled look and feel to any outdoor or indoor space!
TRIPOD HOME
Tripod Home is an importer of beautiful wooden furniture and decorations from Asia. The stand was filled with beautiful creations made from wood sources from unused fishing boats and driftwood, repurposed with a new life as chairs, tables cabinets and wine racks.
FALLEN FRUITS
The Fallen Fruits stand had the most intriguing aged metal furniture. Gazebos that resembled bird cages, bar stools and tables that resembled vintage car fronts, spades turned into tables and forks to chairs! This stand oozed creativity.
Lifestyle Garden
Winner of the bronze ‘supplier of the year award’ at SOLEX, Lifestyle garden have a beautiful range of outdoor furniture. This ethical company sources its products in an environmentally friendly fashion that cares about the working standards of its employees. We particularly loved the Solana range for dining and relaxing!
